ITEX,
a fast-growing trade exchange doing business since 1982, is seeking
aggressive and motivated field sales representatives to complement
its expanding sales team. Positions are currently available in
Peoria, Bloomington/Normal and Quad Cities. The
sales representative signs up new businesses to join the exchange.
ITEX already has over 22,000 member companies in North America,
including restaurants, contractors, media companies, hotels,
business service firms, and a wide variety of other businesses. The
sales representatives prospect, qualify and close deals originating
from numerous sources including marketing campaigns, Internet
downloads, call-ins, cold calls, and referrals from current clients.
Prospecting is performed over the telephone and walk-ins and closing
will require in-person meetings.
Qualifications
for the ideal candidate:
- Excellent phone skills, well spoken with a clear
speaking voice
- Organized and detail oriented, with strong
follow-up habits
- Aggressive, competitive, and self-motivated with
a strong work ethic
- Familiarity with small and medium-sized business
operations
- Positive attitude with a high energy level
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience
is preferred, but someone with the right attitude and similar
qualifications will be strongly considered. Full product knowledge
and training will be provided. The successful candidates will work
out of our offices. This position is compensated via draw,
commission, sales bonuses and residuals based upon customers’
trade volumes, and can be substantial for talented sales
representatives.
