DRIVERS NEEDED
Central Illinois Courier Inc. has started expiditing work for companies in the Peoria area and is in need of drivers which can make local and long distance deliveries. CIC has authority to work in any of the 48 states. Drivers would be in vehicles as small as a car or as large as a 24' box truck. There are also pickup trucks with 24' trailers.
Drivers must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test and have class B or C drivers license. Drivers would have to be available on short notice and most of the time the runs are over the weekend. Some local or same day runs are made to Chicago, St Louis or Indianapolis. Work is not guarnteed and drivers would have the ability to turn down work if they have other things scheduled.
Local runs, up to 400 miles, are paid by the hour and runs over 400 miles are paid by the mile. Lodging and meals are paid for overnight runs. Mileage rate depends on the equipment used. Cars are $.20pm, Full size van $.22pm, Box truck up to 16' and pickup with flatbed or no trailer $.25pm, Pickup with trailer and 24' box truck $.27pm.
Should a driver be interested in full time work and it is available on a regular scheduled route or time, benifits are available including Health Insurance, paid holidays, and vacation.
